The Storefront to bring design education to 20th Street
The Two Twenty has expanded! We're getting new neighbours and making new friends fast, which includes a new retail and gallery space.
The opening of The Storefront marks the latest addition to The Two Twenty community, and will help foster public engagement with our creative collective.
The Storefront is a new design gallery and retail space showcasing local art, design, and architecture. Filling a gap that exists in Saskatoon’s gallery scene, The Storefront focuses on design awareness and education, generating a demand for the outstanding local designers making work in our city. Crystal Bueckert—founder of BLDG Studio and Director/Curator of Storefront— has founded the gallery as a conduit for designers to connect with each other and foster their practices.
In addition, The Storefront will serve as a vessel to showcase, promote and sell the cultural products that result from collaborations within The Two Twenty's creative community.
To celebrate The Storefront's arrival in Riversdale, an opening reception will be held. Titled LOCAL | Furniture Design, the exhibition features local furniture craftsmen and will also celebrate other forms of creativity in Riversdale— Coffee and drinks will be supplied from Collective Coffee, paired with food from Odd Couple, Riversdale Deli and more.
Everyone is invited to this free event; come and revel in the LOCAL!
